Creating Holistic Campus Services

Gateway Foundation is dedicated to helping patients recover from addiction. Their many campuses provide robust programming and treatment options to successfully aid their patients. MKB Architects is working with Gateway to provide enhanced campus-wide spaces for recovery. The proposed upgrades will include a renovation of an existing gym on their Lake Villa campus. The new Health and Wellness Center will include an refinished gymmnasium, new fitness center, and a new Illumination Room addition for larger gatherings. Gardens designed for healing and well-being will surround the new addition. The mezzanine level of the gym will be updated with an accessible lift, roof terrace, and updated material finishes.

The Master Phase will be in two parts, with a Fitness Center Addition and new entry for the facility planned in future phases to support Gateway’s patients on their journey towards well-being.
